How does video work with AVIOU?

Videos in publications works better without a play bar and the standard vimeo interface. Learn the best way to use video in AVIOU here.

🎥 Using Video in AVIOU Publications

AVIOU supports YouTube, Vimeo, and MP4 video formats. For the best user experience, videos should be displayed without player controls or overlays.

✅ Recommended Setup: Clean Playback (No Play Bar)

To achieve a clean, professional look:

1. 📼 Use Vimeo, YouTube, or MP4 Links

  • All three formats are supported

  • MP4 offers the most control (hosted externally or via CDN)

⚙️ Disable Controls in Vimeo

Vimeo adds default UI elements unless configured properly.

Steps:

  1. Go to your video’s Settings on Vimeo

  2. Click on the "Embed" tab in the left-side menu

  3. Disable the following options:

    • Player controls

    • Play bar

    • Title and user actions

    • End screen recommendations

  4. Save your changes

🎯 Result: Your video will play cleanly without overlays or distractions inside AVIOU.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Vimeo Issues

If your video or GIF isn’t displaying correctly in AVIOU:

  • Check your Vimeo subscription plan

  • Some features (like hiding player controls) require paid plans

  • Review your billing status for any changes that could affect video permissions

Once configured, your video is ready to be embedded into any AVIOU element — including content boxes, sliders, or splash screens.
