Learn how to upload a PDF to Publisher and what you need to be aware of.
In publisher there are 2 types of publications. You can create a publication built on your feed-data where you use Live Editor to build your content or you can upload a PDF and create a flip-book version of your PDF.
In order to create a PDF-based application go the "publications" module and click the "Upload PDF" Button:
Now fill out the form:
In general options you can give your publication a title. This is also the same titel that will be shown in the app for this application. You have to decide when the application should go live in the app (Publication start time) and when it should be removed (Publication expiration time). You can also tell the system when the offers are valid (Offer start date/Offer expiration date).
In the PDF part of the form you need to upload the PDF file. Click the "Upload PDF" button and then drag'n'Drop or click to select your file and click upload:
By default the first page in the PDF will also be the preview image (that will be shown in the apps). But you can upload a new image in the Preview file if you want to use another image.
Finally make sure that the publishing path is valid by checking if it has a green checkmark. If you have published a publication with the exact same name before you won't be able to publish to the same location again. Fix this by changing the path part until you get the green checkmark.
When you are finished click on "Save and edit" to save the publication and open it in the liveeditor. This at the same time starts the processing of the PDF.
While the PDF is processing you will see the spin in the PDF section:
When the PDF is processed you can review the PDF by using the arrow buttons below the PDF-section. When satisfied click the "Publish" button to publish the publication to the platform.
